Not sure about it, but I found this:

In actuality, the human head does remain conscious fifteen to twenty seconds after decapitation. This was proven when a scientist condemned to the guillotine in the 1700s told his assistant to watch and that he would blink as many times as he could. The assistant counted fifteen to twenty blinks after the head was severed, the blinks coming at intervals of about one second. So the head does remain briefly alive.

There are not enough of these lol. I can't handle those knife beheadings very well. This however is frickin AWESOME! I wish I could hear the sound of the sword slicing through. The ring of the steel. The metallic *feeng* or however you want to put it down in text lol >:D Would be epic if done with a katana forged by a master!!!

Here is what we should've done. We shoulda shown this to the Dagestan massacre perps, and told them, ya see, this is how its done. then again, those Dag Bandits wanted their victims to suffer so they only did the 50 percent off job, only cutting half of the russian soldiers' throats. anyway, Saudia Arabia clearly hasn't evolved much past the European medieval times. I am against the death penalty, and I am against this public beheading. So go suck on a chicken nugget, Mr Arab Executioner.
