No, things happened in his life to make him that way. Yes, if someone did something to my family I would be angry. But this is not the way to make things better. This will teach him that next time leave no witnesses. Great.

This man, if guilty, needs to be contained and studied, encouraged to talk and share what made him this way etc. Not beaten. That will create more monsters. Simply beating criminals will keep the cycle going.

Learning what causes their behaviour can allow us to make an environment that will not let these people turn into such things, or at least learn the warning signs so the individual may be treated before a serious crime is committed.

Until this happens, the whole law/punishment system is backwards. And your calls for "I would do that/Good one" only proves how uncivilised we still are. So sad.
