Clean shot! I woulda used a Barret 50 cal though.
Although i agree, the aterial mess would have been amazing but you probably woulda missed. A .50 projectile doesn't begin to stabalise until around the 300m (1000ft) mark but not only that, the hydrostatic shock probably would have killed the hostage as well.
