By the way...how many shootings have you been in...to just what do you base your expertise on exactly? I've been in seven gunfights...and spent almost thirty years as a cop. Tell me, because I've obviously been doing my job incorrectly all these years, when exactly should I determine if the bad guy has a mental illness, is drugged, depressed, or delusional? How exactly should I determine those issues?

Well that's quite a condemnation on current police training and protocols...to what do you base that comment on? I mean you've made so many useful comments I'm just courious what your experience is in law enforcement and how you're so well informed and opinionated? I was a cop and detective for almost thirty years for a large police agency in Southern California. I have a couple of graduate degrees and a doctorate and guess what...I even teach college. I've written numerous use of force and deadly force policies for other police departments throughout California and the US as a paid consultant...perhaps I've missed something? For instance, I didn't realize until now that I was a "redneck". Maybe I've missed other things as well? Maybe, just maybe, you could tell me what you would do differently since your so obviously "in the know" about law enforcement policy and procedures. Perhaps you could school me as to what law enforcement needs to do differently? Throw me a bone...obviously I've got it all wrong...please help me.
