Yes, they would have kept the smashed and torn bodies inside the car. You centre-punch another car head on at 80mph hour closing speed and you'll be smashed whether you have a seat belt on or not. The only thing that changes is where your battered remains finish up.

The Audi is a pretty safe car as is evident by it being in fairly good condition considering but this is what happens with no seat belts. Even one body without a seatbelt can kill everyone else in the ecar.
