Re: People Killed in Russian Car Accident, Direct Aftermath
It definitely looks so... I am really puzzled why noone even tries to communicate with the still alive people. Obviously its better not to move them, but simple assurance that the help is coming (even in the middle of Russia's nowhewe) and keeping them conscious can be cruicial to their survival...

Re: People Killed in Russian Car Accident, Direct Aftermath
I agree...its scary...but even if its not that youre moving the injured person around bec you might be causing more damage(if they live they'll sue you for that) but just to be close enough to tell them to hang on..if that was me, im injured Id hope someone out of the kindness of their heart could just hold my hand or stand close enough and tell me to hang on helps on the way etc...not just leave me there alone while they are filming what could be the last moments of my life.

Re: People Killed in Russian Car Accident, Direct Aftermath
well traffic should keep moving or otherwise it would cause traffic jams and slow down ambulance from coming on scene. Also it was probably head on collision due overtaking that shit is quite rare but can happen. Also it might be untasteful to let bystanders see the car accidents, but maybe then people would start to drive more carefully when they see real consequences. |

Re: People Killed in Russian Car Accident, Direct Aftermath
I`ve witnessed two accidents similar to this with fatalities. One was in Houston, I got there about a minute after it happened...no police, no ambulances had arrived yet. A pickup must have been going 100MPH on Allen Parkway, ran a red light and broadsided another vehicle, three bodies were ejected. I didn`t stop to help because there were several people already standing around. The car the pickup hit was in the shape of a "U". Another horrific accident, is one I did try to stop and help. Four young men ( late teens, early 20`s ) slammed into a semi, I saw it happen, and the car burst into flames. I could hear them screaming. They couldn`t get out, obviously at least two survived the accident, but were burned to death, because I heard at least two men screaming, I could not get close enough, the heat was too much. I don`t ever want to witness anything like that again, I felt so helpless.
