The maximum determinate penalty is 21 years imprisonment, but only a small percentage of prisoners serve more than 14 years. Prisoners will typically get unsupervised parole for weekends etc. after serving ⅓ of their sentence (a maximum of 7 years) and can receive early release after serving ⅔ of their sentence (a maximum of 14 years).

I know, this country has a messed up crimesystem. It's unbelievable that the fucker will serve less than 21 years.

He will proberly serve much more than 21 years. Remember that you can get "forvaring" aswell(sry dunno the English word for it).

Forvaring can always be extended "as they seem fit" if he still can be a threat to society. So actually he might en up as the first Norwegian to ever get a real lifetime sentence the last 50 years or so. To bad we dont have a rotten enough prison for him...

Isolation for the rest of his life with forced feeding and chains should help some

What also really sucks, is the fact that he is going to end up in a comfy cell, with access to all the stuff he would want like a place to work out, fresh air etc., as well as a television in his cell, living like he's on vacation in a hotel.
