Re: One Dead in Austin Tx Shooting
For fuck's sake, I wish someone would have had even a little bit of forethought to mention whether or not security just handled that neighbor?

I dig how enthused the cameraman is, already laughing before shots are fired and then SO down for what came next |

Re: One Dead in Austin Tx Shooting
Ideally schools should be protected by law enforcement who have a military or elite police unit background, because even with all the training in the world there are people who shit themselves when bullets start wizzing around, like that cop in the Parkland school shooting who said he thought he had to wait for backup, he shit his pants plain and simple.

Re: One Dead in Austin Tx Shooting
Totally agree with you. I have a grandkid getting ready to start school. If the school does have security, I don't want it to be a rent-a-cop/mall cop or a law enforcement retiree who has no desire to put his life on the line at this point of his life. Actually, I would want this for everyone not just the school where my grandkid is going. Public schools are funded by state, local and federal dollars. If any tax levee hits where taxes need to go up to fund security, I'll be the first person in line to vote YES. Private schools don't have a funding excuse. Just do it. If you have to tack on a couple bucks on the tuition, its money that is more than well spent. And do it smart. Don't have the guy sitting in the cafeteria drinking coffee and reading the paper or playing with his phone all day. Any kid with bad intentions who goes to that school is going to know about this person, their routines and that will be the first target. To your point, that is why ex military or ex swat would be ideal. Side note.. listening to the two presidential candidates throw mud at each other (does anyone really know what the fuck they are going to do??) I would be thrilled to hear one of them say they are going to exercise their power to make sure good school security happens everywhere. This shit with kids getting killed in school has to stop. Ok, rant over. |
