You ARE right that Americans take any difference of opinion as a "fight" or a personal insult. They are so brainwashed into just always agreeing with everyone all the time (also, they're neve taught critical thinking skills) instead of voicing their own actual opinions. Remember, they live in a multiple-choice exam country where their realities are limited to the options presented to them from which they merely point at what they've been told is the 'RIGHT" answer.
