I'm guessing that the kid picked it up off of the table and none of the adults noticed. Maybe the camera was also in the hands of a kid? It's filmed from a low perspective. It would explain a lot. Although I still don't understand shooting guns at weddings in the first place. I'm a gun advocate, but that's just stupid.
