I agree. I am a former Cop and we would immediately stop the traffic. One time I had a female who was in an argument with her boyfriend. She demanded that he pull over and let her out the car so he did and pulled into the emergency lane and she got out and was hit by a car (It was night time). When I arrived 5 mins later she was DRT and had already been run over a couple of times laying in the road. I immediately blocked the lane she was laying in with my unit and emergency lights so she would not continue to get run over and turn to mush. Within 10 mins we had all the south bound lanes closed to traffic. This here is ridiculous.

They said the guy was walking in the left most lane, was hit by a car in the dark, knocked into the center lane, and then was hit by multiple cars that damaged the body. All the drivers stopped, police said that no charges have been filed yet, and all drivers are cooperating. Police say they have found no evidence of impairment with any of the drivers.
Being a pedestrian on ANY freeway is strictly prohibited. This is a great example why that law exists.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on a Las Vegas freeway Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The collision was reported around 3:10 a.m. on southbound Interstate 15 at Flamingo Road, Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol reported.

Trooper Ashlee Wellman said someone was walking along the freeway when they were struck by a vehicle. That person was then hit by several other vehicles, including a semi-truck, and was pronounced dead on scene.

At least three vehicles were involved and those drivers remained on the scene, though investigators are working to determine if more vehicles struck the pedestrian. Impairment is not suspected.

It's unclear why the pedestrian was walking on I-15, Wellman said.

All traffic on southbound I-15 was diverted off at the eastbound Flamingo off-ramp for several hours as authorities investigated the scene. The freeway was back open as of about 1:35 p.m.

This was wild, I drove by it the first time before it was all over the road. They shut the freeway down for 12 hours picking up and cleaning the roads and side banks
