Probably to avoid a lawsuit. That way the medics can say that they "did their best". Maybe also to give a false sense of comfort to the onlooking family instead of just scraping her up and throwing her in a bag.

yeah what is the point of cpr even if she survives more than likely she will be a vegetable. thud was loud! usually you don't hear it so clearly. she also waved to somone or to the crowd before she jumped. still sad she thought this was her only option.
