Me acknowledging one of your points does not make it correct and factual. I conceded that that particular point COULD be correct, not that it is. In other words, I reiterated my previous post where I said it was debatable, which it is. (referring to brain activity, to be clear)

You have to understand that scientists don’t know everything and never will. They makes hypotheses, do research, and present their findings. And if you expect me to simply believe that one is conscious after a beheading after sharing one article, then that doesn’t make sense. Especially, when the article itself does NOT claim this to be the case. I quoted the article and it seems like you just skipped right over that part.

It’s as if you found an article that makes mention of your point and you read that, but then, conveniently ignored the rest.

And again, nothing on this site is evidence for anything you’re trying to claim. I have proof that you are a qualified scientist and just trying to blindly use videos as evidence of anything greatly supports this idea. So, let’s stick to peer reviewed studies by actual scientists.

Yes we do definately know this, including scientific experiments conducted during the French Revolution beheadings.

More recently, EEG studies with animals show active brain activity 8 to 29 seconds after decapitation.

The shock from the explosion might have knocked her out, or it might have just stunned her, as her head was indeed fully intact. No doubt her ears were ringing, her eardrums blown out (unless she had the foresight to wear hearing protection, but that seems unlikely).

It is completely within the rhelm of possibility that as her head flew through the air, she was or became conscious enough to enjoy her brief roller-coaster ride to oblivion.

You might try working on your reading comprehension skills.

First of all, just because you heard the term "peer review" on the TV during COVID does not mean you have any clue what that term actually means nor implies, so nice try.

Secondly, being an article in DISCOVER, a well regarded science review publication is not "just some magazine", and being ina magazine does not make something not authoritative.

Third, the article in question lists peer-reviewed studies and the relevant findings, which are open source and easy for you to revew your very own self, and which supports the conclusions in the article.

Which by the way satisfies the essential definition of "authoritative".

Actually, doctors DID do research on this, primarily with hardened criminals who were guillotined in French prisons. One named "Magret" is supposed to have opened his eyes twice and moved his eyeballs for a time length of 10 seconds, in answer to a researcher who had spoken to him while he was on death row, and worked out a series of responses he could try if he had the ability. (Which he apparently did, and they worked.)
