Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
Magazines articles are not authoritative sources. How about some peer reviewed studies.

Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
We know there's brain activity after some methods of decapitation due to the little bit of oxygen that's left, so technically its "alive"... but that doesn't necessarily mean there's consciousness, the jury's still out on that one. If that's what KillingJoke was getting at, then I agree that's pretty dense. There's not going to be any consciousness after a fucking bomb blows up in your face. |

Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
There may be brain activity (which is debatable), but regardless, the jury is not out on the latter part of your statement. Look up syncope. How can someone be conscious without blood flow to the brain? This is biology as we know it for humans.

Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
Why are you going on about consciousness? My main point is about brain activity, which you can have without consciousness. We know there's brain activity in humans after decapitation and there's plenty of evidence to support that right here on this website. There's several videos where we can see the mouth/eyes move after a decapitation. How would the brain know it needed oxygen and to start agonal respiration if there was no brain activity? ![]() The jury IS still out as to whether or not there's consciousness in humans after a decapitation. There was a study done by decapitating awake and anesthetized rats that showed they were conscious for a few seconds afterwards, this suggests humans could experience something similar but since it would be unethical to perform that same experiment on people, it may be a while before we find out if that translates to humans at all. Rat study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21304584/ This isn't the only rat experiment either btw, there's others that support the results of brain activity after decapitation as well. |

Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
Your post made two specific points. Did I not directly acknowledge the first point? The second point is what I felt was very unlikely and here is a conclusion directly from your link: The entire reason that some members here love to imagine the victims are feeling excruciating pain is because they are depraved and love imagining people in pain. But that’s just not the case for beheadings or any other form of death where blood loss occurs rapidly. |

However, peer reviewed articles, like the link below your gif, are worthy of review. |

Re: Female Suicide Bomber Kills One Police Officer in Pakistan
Alright, I see having this debate with you is totally pointless. I've made my point about brain activity, offered legitimate evidence to back it up and you apparently agreed but then you go on to say being beheaded isn't painful despite having a peer reviewed article, a gif, and access to a shitload of videos that proves otherwise. I can lead you to water, but I can't force you to drink.
