Seen that woman before on a documentary.
When the Allies arived at none german towns and the germans had died surrendered or fled the locals would round up local women who dated german officers and beat the shit out of them cut their hair off. Some german towns invaded by russians would have all their good looking wives and daughters raped and beaten made pregnant some families killed them selves while they waited their turn to be raped.

Yes, a few brief clips from this source were used in the the episode titled "Reckoning" of the epic World At War series.
