Re: 'Crypto Bro' Kills Himself on X Livestream
This is one of the responses to a brain injury. This is basically "Limp Mode" where the brain tells the body to try and breath and try and keep the heart beating while the Brain is incapacitated. He was not awake or coherent. (From the Web) Understanding Agonal Breathing: Symptoms, Causes, and Response Agonal breathing sounds like gasping, snorting, labored breathing, or moaning. It can also sound like snoring or gurgling. What is agonal breathing? Agonal breathing is an abnormal breathing pattern that indicates insufficient breathing. It's often a sign of a severe medical emergency, like cardiac arrest. Agonal breathing is not true breathing. It can last only a few breaths or could go on for hours. |

Re: 'Crypto Bro' Kills Himself on X Livestream
Listening to the full 1 hour 9 minute video (which was very disturbing): At about :25 seconds he shot himself in the temple hitting the "higher brain" and the part that controls consciousness. His brainstem kicks in at 1:45 creating involuntary agonal breathing reflexes due to brain damage, loss of blood and oxygen. The last agonal breath was recorded at 31:33 so it lasted almost 30 minutes. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of it going that long but it happens. (Obviously) If he were conscious or semi-conscious at all it would have been as he was falling and maybe when he made that first moaning noise. But such noises can also be involuntary so he could have been unconscious before he hit the ground. Hard to say how long, if at all, he may have been even slightly conscious. The video in the OP is a clip of the original. The full video went for 1 hour 9 minutes and was likely stopped from X taking it down - which is a long time for a suicide video, imo. The screen was black because the phone fell face down. It may have been partially held up by something on the floor because there were flashes of light occurring the entire duration of the full video.

I’m truly disturbed by this like I can’t believe nobody even called 911 or anything to send someone over there he probably had a good chance of being saved if he had gotten medical attention promptly

Re: 'Crypto Bro' Kills Himself on X Livestream
Also I am wondering what caliber that weapon was . A 22 maybe ? Well whatever it was obviously wasn’t strong enough to unalive him the correct way smh but maybe that had to do with where he shot himself , at first it looked like it was his right temple but then as I looked a little closer i think it was actually more so the side of the forehead above the temple , where that bone is probably explains why that bullet didn’t instantly make him go lights out

Re: 'Crypto Bro' Kills Himself on X Livestream
I have to say that I've never been captivated by a 20 minute video where 90% of the time the screen is completely dark. I suspect that the gun was probably a .30 or .38. It wasn't immediately fatal because the barrel was perpendicular to and in contact with his head and 1-2 inches above/in front of the brainstem. Consequently, the bullet destroyed his cerebral cortex & cerebral arteries before creating a much larger exit wound on the opposite side. While a lot of grey matter was expelled with the bullet, the brain stem itself sustained much less damage. While was unconscious by the time he hit the ground, his brainstem continued to soldier on for some time. I have to admit, it was morbidly captivating to listen to. This explanation would be consistent with the amount of blood that can be heard streaming out his head during the first 45 seconds. I'm not sure a .22 fired through a short barrel revolver creates much of an exit wound. Looking at how he is holding the weapon the secondary effects of the blast may have been lessened by the effect of the recoil. Had he angled the weapon slightly downward, he would have died much sooner. |
