Exactly, those people were'nt planning on getting themselves killed, the woman might be damn lucky she survived, but that doesn't mean anyone else getting between them couldn't recieve a stab to the heart and bleed out in a minute. They don't want to be headline that says "woman stabbed 70 times and lives, bystander interferes, get's stabbed and dies" So, if anyone posts a vid of them disarming a psycho with a knife, I'll personally give you mad props. AGREED.

These guys are actually MUCH braver than your average bystander who does nothing. It was smart of them to consider their own safety and yet still try to help by "bobbing and weaving" cautiously to test the waters and see how crazed this guy really is.

You can tell the stabber was absolutely crazed (see how he doesn't seem to even remark the kicks to his head or attempts to pull him off) and these bystanders, who look like young TEENAGERS, are afraid for their lives! What if this guy comes after them? Once they come to realise the guy is really only obsessed with stabbing his ex, they then pull him off and detain him. I imagine they had never encountered a live stabbing and likely had no military or police training. This was impromptu guts, instinct and adrenaline.

Oh, and the only bystanders who acted, those young kids, were of ARAB origin. You see the normal-looking civilised white guy the victim approaches on the bike just let her lie on the ground to die while he calmly walks away. So, perhaps race has less to do with being evil than the oh-so-many racists on DR would like to believe.

Americans are actually some of the worst bystanders because of their love of gore, obsession with tv and video games (making reality less real) and the individualistic mentality. Have you seen the videos for Seattle underground tunnel attack, Beleville West bus attack, Chrissy Lee Polis, McDonalds attacks, Madrid subway stabbings, etc etc etc etc?

American ignorance amazes me. They see one video of one very unique incident of 20 people out of 15 million and yet, that must be a representative sample of ALL Dutch people. Wow.

Stabber only got just over 3 years in a psychiatric institution!

Btw, the stabber had TWO knives, one which was in his pocket hidden in a cigarette pack. Which means that bystanders could have still been stabbed, even after thinking they'd kicked away his weapon. One quick stab to the heart and you're gone. (See Madrid subway fascist stabbing for proof.)
