I really want to know what ultimately happened to this man, there hasn't a day gone by since I first watched this that I haven't thought of him. It seems that the woman at the end is trying to get help for him, but the rest is still just a mystery. I want to believe that the man in China is him, but the vid says Vietnam. And then there's the cell phone technology, it had to have happened later than the Chinese man. So? Who knows, I guess.

I saw this vid this morning and cannot get him out of my mind!!! So I figured I'd look into it...I googled "cop cut n half" and found all sorts of info! He LIVED!! This was actually in 1995 in China, not Vietnam. The man was saved by a team of 20 Dr's and he now has a specially made prosthetic cup-like thing he "sits" into, and there's bionic legs attached. Now he gets around and appears happy in the pix I saw where he was in physical therapy. Before He was bedridden for years, the report stated--before anyone thought about making this special prosthetic appliance. I just cannot believe he lived...it looked insane....him plucking at himself, once even trying to sit up....glancing at his parts over there, talking with people, looking around, gesturing is arms...omg...This video wins the prize for the most amazingly grusome accident victim video where the victim actually LIVED.
