Colombian Criminal Attempts to Escape Hospital, Is Shot Dead by Police
Cúcuta, Norte de Santander Department A brawl between prisoners being held in the cells of a police station resulted in one of the inmates, R.Y.M.O., receiving at least ten stab wounds in the back and arms. He was immediately taken to the local hospital under police guard. Immediately after medical personnel removed his handcuffs, R. lunged at and hit them, before attempting to escape the clinic. A police officer warned R. to stop, but these warnings were ignored, and the officer shot R. in the chest, killing him within minutes. R. had been arrested for homicide, aggravated robbery, and illegal possession of weapons. |
