Don't be too hard on him for his internet. It's not his fault. Urban Canada has great internet. I have a gigabit and 5G for my phone. But in rural Canada the internet is still absolute dog shit. What you are seeing is exactly typical of the best internet you can get in rural areas here. Your choices for "broadband" are satellite, which is almost okay for download (if the weather is nice, at least) but dial-up for upload, Starlink if you're lucky enough to be covered and don't mind sucking Elon Musk's cock, and wireless which more and more is just cell service if you're lucky and get good enough signal or if you're unlucky it's (I shit you not) Wi-Fi. Long range Wi-Fi that only just barely creeps above the (now very archaic) 1 Mbit criteria for "broadband". If that's what you're stuck with, you're happy when your internet is working as good as you see in this video. It's a shite state of affairs.
