I'm pretty sure that's the side window, not the front windshield and it was a rollover accident.

Look again.If you follow the frame of the windshield you will be enlightened as to WHERE he actually ended up.The windshield,rollover or not,is where he is protruding.The side door ( and said window ) is crumpled around the area by his right arm.
