Re: Another Female Beheading in Mexico

Wow! I wonder why it is that it's so much more shocking to watch a pretty young girl being murdered so brutally than men in the same situation?
For the record, I never knew this girl, nor what she did to deserve this. Other than that she was a "cook". Whether that meant a meth cook, or making Kraft dinner...

The way I see it (and perhaps others here) is that for a (what appeared to be a helpless) 17 year-old female to be gang raped, then to have her head decapitated in that manner - it's not even shocking anymore in the traditional sense, if that makes any sense.

After watching this, I wasn't horrified, terrified, scared, etc. I was upset and angry that they would resort to this level with an adolescent female who's chances of being able to fight back are much slimmer than - say - a fully grown man.

I know that might sound stereotypical and perhaps event a little arrogant, and sexist (although it's not meant to be).

This might sound even worse. I don't believe I would have reacted in a similar manner if the girl was made to fight for her life against one of their girls.

Re: Another Female Beheading in Mexico

Just wanted to add (since I can't edit my posts) - in contrast to this girl's beheading, a beheading video such as the one where the beheadee began to throw up and you could clearly see a yellow liquid squirt out the guy's exposed esophagus like it was a water hose (and the beheader even paused and stared in bemusement... that was disturbing, shocking, etc.

Hi, I'm from Mexico! This happened to the girl is because she belongs to the opposite of drug trafficking. She was no innocent, he knew that he was getting into. This does not happen to decent people, only those who get into the world of drugs.

Well, I know many many MANY people involved in the world of 'drugs' and not a single one of them are murderers.(In Ontario where we are mostly civilized humans) So what you mean is it ONLY happens to those getting in to the world of drugs IN MEXICO. In fact, the drug dealers here are very peaceful people that work real jobs, and sell drugs on the side to make a little extra money. There is simply no need to murder people in order to sell drugs. These Mexicans are are criminals regardless of the drugs they are involved with. There are large drug companies that sell all sorts of drugs in North America, and not one of them has found a need to behead people from opposing companies, nor do any of the small time local marijuana dealers in my area. Unless you are a psychopathic murderous criminal, you are quite alright competing in a fair market using non-violent strategies like customer service and good product. California, Washington, and Colarado are loaded with people that grow marijuana and there are millions of dollars flowing through the economy. No beheadings going on there. B.C. and Alberta Canada are also a HUGE contributor in the North America Marijuana market and again, nothing but a bunch of construction workers and oil rig workers that want to smoke pot and drink a few beers and go fishing and skiing. No Beheadings. What's up Mexico?

I constantly see Mexican citizens on here trying to defend Mexico and claiming that this is only those 'bad' people that are involved in the 'drug world' that behave this way. Well it doesn't really matter now does it? It's clearly a problem with the entire country. The government is fucking useless and doesn't know how to handle violent people. It's even clear that the citizens are the problem as well. You are on here denying this as a REAL problem. That means you are part of the problem. A teenage girl having her head twisted off is not a problem is it? If that happened to a girl in Ontario, the fucking entire country would go on a manhunt until the perps are locked up and serving life sentences. If someone tries to lure a child in to a van in Ontario, there a alerts put on the radio and news stations giving descriptions of the vehicle etc.
I don't know what the fuck the majority of you Mexicans are doing down there, but it's time you 'innocent' citizens got off your fucking asses, put down the tequila and unite together against these fucks. You obviously don't value a life the way that I do. It's precious. If you don't care about your fellow Mexicans being murdered, why would the rest of the world? That is not the type of country that I want to visit and spend my hard earned Canadian dollars in. It's not going to work if you aren't all in. You can't have a small handful of good-do-ers in the police department thinking they will conquer the cartels, but if everyone is united together it works. The community is what decides what is acceptable in their town. It's the same reason why the black neighbourhoods in Toronto are riddled with black youths killing other black youths. The community is on board with it. black men are regularly shot in front of witnesses in the streets, and the witnesses will NOT come forward to the police, (for multiple reasons) and the very fact that they won't come forward, is what creates the type of community where people are willing to shoot other people in broad daylight.
The community creates the conditions that they are willing to accept, by accepting it.

There are entire books written about the culture of violence in Mexico.

The gist of the theories is that indeed, life has a different meaning there and has for time immemorial. Think about it.

Before the white man came there, the indigenous peoples of Mexico were avid practitioners of human sacrifice. The Aztecs were indisputedly one of the most violent cultures on the continent. And when white men DID arrive, who were they? Fucking genocidal, blood-crazed, zealous, gold-hungry conquistadores from Spain. Brutal, hardcore, and determined enough to massacre one of the most violent cultures in western history. Follow that up with a few centuries of violent revolution, military dictatorships, and territorial wars with the US...then season it with several decades of being a major drug corridor and what do you have?

Not a particularly healthy respect for life, that's what.
