You think that would stop them lol; they've tried that, remember. And the cartels just burrow UNDER the borders(the tunnels, remember?) or fly OVER the borders. There really is absolutely no solution to this sadly. It will just get worse and worse and worse. Legalisation wouldn't work because the cartels aren't only involved in drugs; theres extortion, racketeering, human trafficking etc etc. No, this will just go on and on and on and on forever. Why? Because they've got a genuine taste for it. And they enjoy it. People ask "how can they do these things to another human being"? The answer is simple; practice.

Sadly the reality is that these cartels have more money and resources than the Mexican government; theyre outnumbered and outgunned over there. And, short of all out civil war, the USA aren't going to become embroiled in another "situation" when they already have their hands full.
