When I was 8-9 years old..My Grandfather had one of those trach tubes..idk why it is called a stoma here..that is usually what people like my great uncle had who had colon cancer get..he had no rectum, dtoma from the intestine to outside abdominal wall to colonostomy bag..any ways..(yay..cancerous family for me!) my grandfather would smoke through the trach tube to make us laugh/gross us out/say fuck you I won't quit ..blow the smoke out of the hole and all..was crazy..He died when I was 9, 10 days before my 10th bday, he was 69.. ..When I was 11..a neighbor had a hole in his throat aswell..he did the same thing..grossly smoked through it/puff smoke out of it...mind you...I turned 10 in 1990...So the ads she was in..done nothing to me shockwise..was 16 when they came out..that..and I'm from Pennsylvania..lol

I am from Pennsylvania, but, I'm much older than you. If I remember correctly, you're from Western PA. I'm from Filtydelphia. I remember the commercial.

They had some great recent non-smoking commercials, too.

The one with a woman name Terrie, who was bald, toothless and had a voice machine to speak was pretty brutal. She was getting ready for work.

What a sad story, brought tears to my eyes.
Cigarettes are very addictive, I remember trying them when I was about 16 years old with a group of friends...

I remember liking the head rush from them, but I would always get nauseous and start vomiting like crazy (My body telling me to stay the fuck away from those cancer sticks) Cigarettes are one of the most addictive things... once you try it and like it, you start increasing how many cigarettes you smoke a day... next thing you know, you're going through a pack a day... I've lost some very close people due to lung cancer caused by cigarettes.

If you are a smoker, think about your life, your loves ones. Cigarettes are only meant for two things, to kill and make money off your addiction.

People that smoke cigarettes are retarded in a way.. They stink up every place they go, and say that they "can't quit", which is such a crock of shit. Try kicking heroin cold turkey and THEN come tell me what is HARD. I've done both, and I'd rather quit smoking every day for ten years than quit opiates for one day. Just being real!

My mom died from lung cancer. She was diagnosed stage 4, with no symptoms.
