Re: What's with All the Red Marks?

You can see the foam coming out of her nose, my guess would be she suffocated somehow (maybe drowned) and she was clawing at her own neck and chest maybe out of fear, or trying to clear whatever was stuck.

It looks like she was clawing at herself while overdosing.

Re: What's with All the Red Marks?

According to the paper the striated haematoma can be explained as originating from the dog's claws, while the cause of death is drowning for sure. That paper is written very well despite its author looks like a Hippy high on LSD, and despite it's not conclusive, it covers a good 90% of the questions. For example, it rules out killing by a second party (homicide) while it doesn't rule out neither accidental drowning (for example, the dog fell into the water and she dived to his rescue) nor deliberate suicide (she dived grabbing the dog at the height of her chest) and during/after the dive the dog scratched her because of fear/panic, which makes perfectly sense to me.

Re: What's with All the Red Marks?

Case study said she was found in the water. Her clothing looks tight so my guess would be it's from the seams and material. As her body swelled, combined with being soft from the water, her skin took on the pattern of the material and inside of the clothing.

Re: What's with All the Red Marks?

It's lividity/livor mortis. When the blood settles in the body after death.
hardly even close. lividity is MUCH more than a few random streaks. if a body is going to sit long enough for lividity to set in its going to cover the majority of the surface that is on the pooling side of the blood. this would equate to her entire front side looking like one big bruise.
