My youngest was natural..no meds etc..but she was delivered in the hospital. We went expecting her to come out. were told to go home, got to parking lot, My Girlfriend could not sit or stand (I laugh in my head a little everytime I tell people that) let alone drive. went back in, got to E.R. put her on a wheelchair and to the 4th floor we went, they laid her in the same bed we left from. were prepping to give her the epidural and they quick called the doctor on the phone... didn't get anything prepped and my daughter was delivered by a nurse on the spot in a total time of about 3-5 minutes of her laying down, POW! no meds, no bs... and doctor showed up just in time to deliver the placenta/afterbirth!  Few yells... an arm thrash at a nurse or three and me talking her through... and next thing I know? Baby's head facing up out of there at the delivering nurse and myself  My Daughter is 15 moths old now. was born the day after Leap Year. The blood clots ...ooooh the blood clots... those blood clots made that placenta look attractive..  And I wanna smack that doctor for sending us home and him going home about his business. |

After giving birth to 2 10lb babies I'd be too scared to do this. Gimme the drugs! |
