When you use the shortened phrase "Trans" you are putting different groups of people together...
There are Transvestites, who are people that are happy with their own body but like dressing as the opposite sex.
There are also Transsexual/Transgender people. They are the ones who feel the need, or have made the change into the opposite sex.

So, to address the quote above, you are correct if you are speaking of Transvestites but NOT if you are referring to Transgender or Transsexual people, which is specifically what this post is about, a transgender woman. Two very different things.

I was speaking of transsexuals. They said that they were transsexual/transgender, but did not have gender dysphoria, or at least enough to have surgery or take hormones.
