I saw a documentory on a dude who got bit by a rattlesnake on his thumb,he was able to get some anti-venom but not before the a/ventom started to destroy the thmb from the inside out.
The surgeon wanted to wait till the venom destruction run it's course before operating it,doing so gave the finger time to release all the damaged skin,muscle and tendons so not to waste a cosmetic surgery only to have to rebuild it again.
After some time the dude came back to the doctor for a follow up and to make a game plan on surgery,he took the bandage off and it showed all the missing meat on most of his thumb,he said just a slight breeze or a bump to ANY part of that his hand was un-bearable,I cant believe that the dude is sitting /crouching with the exposed bone,I know it must have KILLED.

I read a story about an old guy in Serbo/croat war who had his feet chopped off by some of the psycho motherfucker Serb muslims and he was told if he could walk out of the village on the stumps they'd let him live. I doubt he'd carry his severed feet with him though, but you never know.
