Re: Gross Ingrown Toenail
I had something very similar when I was a freshman in high school. I had let it go for nearly a year. Both of my big toes were infected that bad, if not worse, and would wrap them daily in tissue or toilet paper to prevent my socks from sticking to my toes; they'd bleed & puss daily. I remember playing soccer and flag football in PE . . . those days were especially brutal with getting your foot stepped on, and kicking the ball. At one point, that the nails had grown out of the front of my toe. I would do what she was doing in this video on nearly a daily basis, and yes, it friggin' stunk. Eventually, my mom found bloodied socks and I had to have surgery on them. The pain after the surgery was incredible - nothing like I'd ever felt before. Looking back at it, I question - WTF was I thinking? The best I can come up with is I was too embarrassed to seek medical attention and hoping I could clear it out myself, much like she was trying to do. To this day, my two toe nails are much narrower than they should be because of the surgery. They essentially cut the sides off, all the way up to as far as they could go. Seeing this, it's good to know I'm not the ONLY dumbass that's done this - LOL! |
