They used to do this a lot in South Korea. If the mother was unmarried, her parents would forcefully abort it. Richer families would take their kin to an abortion clinic. Poorer families would usually let the mother birth the child, then kill it.

My mother was one of those force abortees. She was born of a 12 year old mother, and because she was a female, she had her skull beaten in and left beneath a bridge. She lived, obviously, but not without cerebral palsy and an array of mental disorders. She gets to sport 4 scars that stretch from the back of her scalp to the front. The back of her skull is also flattened, and her left eye sits lower than the right one.

I can understand they have a very large population, and they're attempting to keep it under control, but this is horrible. I know many people who would adopt a beautiful child from anywhere in Asia. It's not the child's fault for being born into this world. If you really want to get that extreme with population control; kill the damn parents, not the innocent baby who didn't have an option.

As well written as this is, I hope u are considering writing a book about it. This is a story that should be told. Amazing that she survived, horrible that she was subjected to this.
