That guy was on the Science Channel on 6-14. It was a show on the face transplant program in China. Supposedly this guy was a sheepherder in some rural part of China and a black bear attacked him, it took a chunk out of his face. After the the procedure it was told he was very uncooperative and refused to take his anti-rejection drugs. When the doctors were sent pics of his face becoming blotchy and inflamed they suspected he had quit taking his drugs. They urged him to take the drugs or his face would fall off. Well he died in 2009.

I recently saw the discovery channel and it showed him not taking care of himself after the transplant. The docters are urging him to take his meds and to see them for checkups he refuses to do so thus he may have wasted their time in helping him to have this new face. If he doesn't do what he is supposed to do his face will rot and revert back into the face he had before the operation  |

He might as well have let the bear eat him. He should have been thankful for the transplant. He had to have consented to it. Then he quits the meds and dies?!!! Well, that's a face somebody else could have used. What a fuckin' moron.   |
