Thank god such birth defects are one in several million. Oh, and if a woman doesn't ever want babies, she should get her tubes tied. Abortions should be last resorts; Not birth control.

That would be awesome, and you're absolutely right, but almost all doctors will not "tie yer tubes" if you don't have kids. Even if you have kids, you either have to have so many or have a boy and a girl, and be a certain age. A friend of mine is bipolar and has an autistic son. She does not want kids or the possibility of ever having more, but they won't sterilize her because she's only 25 and only has one kid.

Don't get me wrong, I adore my son, but sometimes I wonder if he'd cooked long enough. After having to bail him out of jail from 3000 miles away for yet another MIP I've been considering stuffing him back in.

*Giggles* Stuffing him back in would be.. complicated But seriously, as you guys can see, I'm a huge supporter of abortion. And probably since I was... 10 years old or younger I have been saying I don't want kids, ever. I'm going to call my doctor and ask if I can have a sterilisation soon. I know what they'll say, but it's worth a try. |
