Re: Dermatillomanie (my Photos)
Is that a serious fucking question? When you have this disorder, you don't want to have sex unless it's under control and your skin is clear. Would you want your partner to see you naked or touch you if your skin looked like this? That's my personal experience anyway |

Re: Dermatillomanie (my Photos)
There doesn't have to be any acne there... Everyone's skin is full of crap to pick and squeeze. In a derma 'trance' the sufferer can really zone in on every little pore and find a defect. I've been suffering with this since I was around twelve and am now just turning 33. Sometimes I feel like I have it under control, and then I fall off the wagon. I pray every day I will have the strength to stop. Good luck to you and thanks for sharing... you are very brave! |

Re: Dermatillomanie (my Photos)
I bite and pick the skin around my fingernails, pick the skin on my scalp (I have psoriasis on my scalp) and have an obsession with picking at my face. It is really subconscious, you almost don't realize you're doing it. And even though you know you shouldn't, you can't help it. I even beg my BF to let me pick at his back and he won't let me, and he yells at me if he catches me picking at my face...I have honestly always wondered why I do any of it.
