Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
I’m sorry to be so blunt but you and I are very different animals. If I went to a principal to report something like this and nothing was done...... something would definitely be happening to the principal and the assailant. I truly believe in random acts of violence. You fuck with my family I will absolutely positively fuck with you and your family

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
I tend to agree. I've never been violent to anyone but if someone sexually assaulted either my son or daughter, they would be 6 feet under.

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
Some of them have read her story and seen the pictures. One of them even messaged me on FB to “check on her” I went off on the kid. Asked her why she’s asking so she can bully her some more and hope that Alivia succeeds next time? And how dare her have the audacity to message me and I hope her mom finds out what she did and I hope she never has to go thru what I did.

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
Im not handicapping her. Yes I took her out of school and she’s now homeschooled. That was not a decision made lightly. We are in the process of moving to a different town so this fall she can go back to school. She will stick up for everyone else all day long. Everyday she is getting better and stronger both mentally and physically. I do not believe she will ever be someone who will put her hands on someone else due to what she’s been thru at home with my ex husband. Who deserves to die a horrible slow death.

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
But, shouldn't it have been? This is not me attacking you, but wondering why after the very first account of the school not protecting your child, was she not yanked out of there? I see this a lot, with parents of bullied children. Recounting the multiple abuses against their child - all happening in the public school, where the child is left to endure the repeated abuses. I always wonder why the line in the sand is drawn so far down the path of damage. Is it hoping that the child will learn to endure, or that the problem will just go away? I don't understand. |

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
Thank you for sharing. BTW, you are right to keep her at home. She can venture out when she does not have to go into the snake-pit of public school. One question: why did the hospital not have you immediately induce vomiting? She didn't drink gasoline, so it would be OK to barf up. Seems to me you want to get the stuff out immediately. She told you 15 minutes after ingestion. Most of the stuff was still in her stomach undissolved. What's up with their advice? |

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
i attempted suicide at 15 as well and i am forever thankful i didn't know how lethal benedryl can be at the time. i've taken it since i was a kid for allergies, and we always had several bottles in our home. instead i took over the counter pain meds, nyquil, and a bunch of herbal supplements... lol. i hope you show her this thread. if the school isn't doing shit ya'll can and should take it into your own hands. sue the families of the cruel little shits harassing her, especially the boy. i can't imagine these medical bills are cheap, so they should pay AT LEAST monetarily. thank you for sharing. this reminds me again how thankful i am that all my suicide attempts have been failures. i'm sure she feels thankful too.

Re: Benedryl Overdose <child Warning>
Benadryl (diphenhydramine) was originally developed as a preoperative sedative. Think about that. Then, as with Viagra, it was found to have another use, off-label at first. Now you can go to Costco and buy a crapload of it for almost nothing. When I worked emergency medicine, I saw more than one case just like this. It pisses me off. My heart breaks for this parent.
