Re: Young Woman Killed in Shootout With Militia
After further research and observation of the social media forums local to this incident, there is still no verifiable substantiating information on the young woman's level of participation. What I have sorted out is that she was a college graduate with an undergrad degree in Biology, no criminal record, no criminal history, and no known association with Cartel friends. Three of the four young men who were in the car with her were minors (15, 16, and 17) with the fourth being just 19. The Militia who opened fire on the car allege that they had intel that the inhabitants of the vehicle had tried and failed to kidnap a local woman for ransom. None of the young men in custody have admitted to this fact and at least one has apparently claimed that the gun was planted and that the girl never opened fire on anyone and didn't even know how to fire a gun. Most of the locals seem to continue to feel that the Militia planted the gun after they realized that they had shot up the wrong car and that the actual kidnapping suspects were never even at the scene. But there's no one investigating the matter, as the Militia are usually the organization charged with looking into corrupt law enforcement and cover-ups. Prevailing opinion holds that the girl was likely just a terrified innocent with absolutely no idea why she was being shot up. Unlikely to be any justice for her, however, if that is the case. |

Re: Young Woman Killed in Shootout With Militia
I have no sympathy for her, if she's a friend of these guys she had to have known what type of life-style they led, so she would have known that there was a possibility of danger. Whether or not she shot at the militia, they had the right to shoot at the people in the vehicle since they were under fire, since they most likely assume she was with the dangerous thugs. I personally believe she had the gun. |
