Two Cousins Killed While Traveling
Two female cousins, 25 and 26 years old, traveled by plane to a neighboring state in Mexico. Once they disembarked, their families never heard from them again. Their bodies were discovered the same night they arrived,both fairly near to one another along the same highway near the airport. The 25 year old cousin was found lying in some weeds with multiple bullet wounds in her head and chest. The 26 year old was discovered lying in the middle of the road. Neither had ID on them and their deaths were not originally linked since the older cousin appeared to be a hit-and-run. She had clearly been run over by at least one vehicle. Only a few days later were the bodies ID'd and the connection made. The cousin in the road was missing her shoes, but had no injuries on her body except those from being hit by a car. It is surmised that she may have tried to escape the same fate that her chubbier cousin suffered and fled into the night, but was run down on the road, either by her assailants or by a chance accident. Given the location and eventual result, it is highly likely (though not proven) that the girls were either moving drugs or had been lured (consensually or otherwise) into human trafficking/prostitution.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
