Re: Shark Attack Pictures

If sharks ever decided they like us we would never be able to go into the water, we are too easy to catch.

This is why I stay out of the shark's "home" Go into someone's "home" uninvited and you're just asking to get fucked up, and if it happens... Well they're not the ones in the wrong.

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

That first pic in black and white is Barry Wilson, age 16, in the morgue, California, 1952. Shark was positively identified as a Great White, about 12 feet.

I was just reading his story today. His attack was witnessed by a man on an overlook about 90 feet away. He said Barry was in about 30 feet of water when he jerked and suddenly began looking around quickly. He had a terrified look on his face. The witness then saw the shark approaching the victim on the surface prior to the attack, which pushed the victim up out of the water.

During the victim's rescue the witness could see the shark swimming alongside the rescuers. Some of them felt the water swirl around their feet as the shark came in close. The shark attacked Barry 3 more times during the 15-20 rescue/swim to shore where the victim was pronounced dead.

An interesting footnote is rescuers and the witness all described the shark's movements as deliberate and leisurely. It wasn't frenzied in the least.

Another interesting footnote is Barry's swimming companion, who was only 15, lost his knife while trying to stab the shark. This kid went back THE NEXT DAY and dove around until he found his knife.

NC state record tiger shark was caught off Yaupon beach pier

1150 lbs

5 of the 8 record shark types in NC were caught off piers, not deep water

Don't get in the water if you can't see what's eating you
