Re: Shark Attack Pictures

Pic number 1 is of a survivor. I remember seeing him being interviewed with shots to that pic on one of the late night Discovery shows.

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

i saw on discovery that sharks only take a small bite, and they let go of the human because they taste poor. How come they eat the whole man? they were hungry or something??
I read a couple of weeks ago, that an Australian scientist and marinebiologist thinks that many of the reports off "drowned" people are actually eaten by sharks. This means that sharks may kill over 1000 people a year, althought, it's very unsure at this point.
And still, humans kills over 1 billion sharks a year, so who's the most dangerous anyway?

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

Guess they're not a big fan of nikes shoes
I don't think they like feet in general. Wonder why that is.

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

It looks suspiciously like several of these are postmortem bites. People who die from shark bites usually die from blood loss, and usually are not eaten like this. If you die in the water, sharks and lots of other creatures will be happy to eat your corpse. Sharks don't usually eat meat off the bones like other predators; they chomp down, rip off a big chunk, and swallow it whole. Some of these look like they were in the water for a while.

I love these pictures, especially the one with the disembodied vertebral column that's still wearing boots.
