Re: Shark Attack Pictures

These injuries are not consistant with sharks attacks. These look like bodies that have been in the waters and eaten by fish post mortem. Sharks may bite but let go after they realize is not a fish, sea lion, etc. There is a misconception about the nature of sharks. I have swam with sharks and never felt threaten. Now, humans, I have seen them do some stupid shit thagt make me shiver.

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

i live in california and having been swimming in the ocean forever. still haven't been eaten by a shark or stung by either a sting ray or a jellyfish. it's either rare or i'm lucky.

love the pic with the shoes though, that's awesome!

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

Been fascinated with sharks and shark attacks for a while, and this is the small collection of pictures i have. I do apologize ahead of time if any are a re-post from a previous thread.

the info on the girl (photos 6-9) was it was more possible of a boat propeller than a shark attack but it wasn't sure.

Re: Shark Attack Pictures

Sharks are really the reason I don't go into the ocean. I remember jaws as a kid, which truthfully struck fear within me, however, is not the reason that I avoid it. As a kid I remember fisherman bringing in makos, and sand sharks (for bait) but seeing sharks that were bigger than me, common sense told me why I was born with feet.

Sharks have always intrigued me, and when I was older, I gave the ocean a try while snorkeling off Okinawa, in ourawan (sic?) Bay, there was an 8 ft shark that looked like a white... I got out of the water and haven't been in the ocean again. To solidify my reasoning, my second time to Okinawa, we deployed to Australia in 1997. On ship I went thru a category 4 typhoon (Justin) and on the backside of the storm, near Australia we had clear water and prolly 10 to 15 foot swells. The navy dumps excess garbage (I.e. food waste only) overboard. In those swells behind out ship during a dump or 'chum', there were two great whites... one at about 10 feet, the other... bout 13. I know water makes them possibly appear bigger, but they were probably 50 feet back and as big as the swells. They were huge... there was a Guy that jumps ship later day. True story. I was in the marines.
