Commonly mis-attributed as such, but the photo in question is actually internet fakery. It was created by a fetish model and her boyfriend for a usenet group back in the late 90's.

There are numerous tipoffs that the photo is lacking authenticity, but the most obvious is clearly that neither police departments nor MEs were commonly using color photographs for autopsies back in 1964. The photo is plainly staged to look like a morgue photo and not a crime scene pic, but its colorization and the conspicuously shaved mons/vulva (Mary Sullivan's autopsy report clearly indicated that she had normal adult-pattern pubic hair) herald a telling lack of verisimilitude.
