Looks a bit.. Chunky for firearms. Seems like firearms shred meat more. My guess is somebody smacked him with something heavy. Alot.

THE WOUNDS ARE NOT CONSISTENT WITH A GUNSHOT WOUND. LOOKS TO HAVE HAPPENED BY BLUNT FORCE TRAUMA, PREFERABBLE A SLEDGE HAMMER POSSIBLE. BUT NO GUNSHOT.
