dude had a nice BMW!! had... helmets are only effective within a certain range of speed and velocity. if a helmet comes in contact with something at an incredible rate of speed outside the design range of the dampening material, then they're useless. your head is now hitting a block instead of being cushioned and brought to a stop in X amount of time and space. the rate of energy absorbsion is exponential on a helmet.. theres a fine line between working and blowing a skull open. |
