Flower Girl Garroted and Dumped
22 year old employee of a floral shop was abducted by armed men right outside the store where she worked. Her body was discovered a few hours later, dumped in a street nearby. She was still fully dressed and was not sexually assaulted, but her hands and legs were bound with tape and she had been garroted with a metal wire attached to a wooden block used to tighten the ligature. No ransom demand was called in and her friends and employers said she had no boyfriend and no known enemies. She was active on social media doing a toy drive for local underprivileged kids. The cause of death was asphyxiation due to ligature strangulation and it was believed she was killed off site and then dumped. It is difficult to make out too much detail in the single postmortem photo, though based on the pattern of the large urine stain over her buttocks (bladder void is extremely common in asphyxiation deaths), I would opine that she was probably strangled while in a seated position. More often than not, at least in the last half dozen of these cases I have researched, strangulation murders like this have taken place in the seat of a car or SUV.   ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

That was my guess, personally. Happens a LOT down there. A sad number of kidnappers seem to have substandard IQs and it isn't but every 4 or 5 weeks that I am reading a case of them grabbing the wrong target and killing her anyway. |
