Re: Dog Eats Dead Owner

Usually a hungry dog will start with digits on a human, such as fingers or toes.
I think concern is very plausible, especially if the animal were to find an absence of human breathing. If it helps any, your dog is far less likely to eat your corpse than your cat is!

Also not that it matters, but a previous user stated that this is a very dirty toy poodle. Sorry, nope! It's a long-haired red dachschund. Poor little guy was probably scared AND hungry... Lovely animal, terrible that they probably put him to sleep because he was starving. I'd have taken him in a heartbeat.
knew it was a dachshund!! i hadn't read this reply yet but i knew spot on since my dog is the same breed lol. i would have taken zombie dog too!

Re: Dog Eats Dead Owner

ive seen this before ,aparrently the dog tryes to get a reaction out of its owner by nipping him at first then it goes into a state of panic/stress to get its owner to move so it knaws at his face, its an act of compassion and loyalty to its owner
I think this happens alot, but also that the dog might end up eating away due to starvation.

I really hope its not common practice to put dogs like this to sleep.
