Re: Bizarre sex slaying & mutilation of Robert Beckowitz :Dumbest People Alive
Hmmm... this sentencing highlights the problem with the American "Justice" system. Oh, people doing some fucked up activities? Let's throw them in prison for 6-10 years or whatever. It's too much based on vengeance justice, which really isn't justice in my opinion. What these people need is psychological help, not to be locked away in a cage. And politicians push this as the solution; and those that goes against this are portrayed as "soft on crime". Even murderers shouldn't be given long prison sentences. Just lock them away in a facility where they can be given psychological treatment until they are safe to be released back into society. If they have to stay there for the rest of their lives because they can never be cured, then so be it. But let's stop wasting tax money on a failed system. Sorry for the rant, I realize this has almost nothing to do with this post, I thought this case was just a good example of what I was meaning.
