Re: Pit Bull Shot and Killed by Police Officer
Hmmm.......I personally hate overly aggressive dogs. But I think the shooting was a bit much, which is opposite of what I usually say, but there were 2 things that stood out: 1. As the dog made it's final dash, it wasn't going after anyone it was trying to run away from them. 2. As the dog was running it looked like the person with the catcher pole made a successful snag, so at that point, the dog was controlled. Shouldn't have shot. |

Re: Pit Bull Shot and Killed by Police Officer
Another pit bull... yeah yeah i know... im still waiting for the black labs, or australian shepherd vids.... oh, only pittys do? Huh... That cop should lose his licensing from the state. As bad as he was with that pistol, he is unsafe, and putting other cops in danger on future calls |

Re: Pit Bull Shot and Killed by Police Officer
You do know why, don't you? Because the news outlets are only interested in reporting the vilified breed of the day/week/year. Right now, it's Pit Bulls. 10 years ago, it was Rottweilers, and years before that, German Shepherds. There was a report somewhere from a animal welfare group and ranger that stated, frankly, that when they reported a dog attack to the media, the media outlet's response was, "If it's not a Pit Bull, we're not interested." Biased media scare-mongering in the US. Fuck yeah. Here in Australia, we do hear about the Mastiffs, and Shepherds, and other dogs who also maul people on the news. |
