MILWAUKEE -Sept 13 The man suspected of punching a female Milwaukee County bus driver appeared in court Saturday.

Surveillance video on the bus helped police catch 24-year-old Brandon Jackson.

He's now charged with battery to a public transit vehicle operator.

According to the criminal complaint, Jackson admitted to punching the driver in the face because she wouldn't let him stay on the bus.

The driver he assaulted is still recovering.
“I'm happy that he off the street,” the bus driver said.

The driver doesn't want to be identified, but was relieved to learn the man who punched her in the face is now behind bars.

However, even though he can't hurt her anymore, she is still shaken up about what happened.

“Most nights when I try to sleep, the last thing I see is him trying to sucker punch me,” the driver said.

The man punched her so hard, that her mouth swelled up. She was bleeding.
She says he had been harassing riders for over an hour, so she kicked him off, which he didn't like. That's when he attacked her.

Jackson faces a maximum 3 & 1/2 years in jail if convicted.
