Bordelon was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in 1982 to sexual battery, and he was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his 1990 conviction for forcible rape and two counts of aggravated crime against nature. While on parole, he met Jennifer Kocke over the Internet and married her a year later. They separated after 12 year old Courtney LeBlanc and her sister told their mother that Bordelon touched them inappropriately. Bordelon abducted LeBlanc in 2002 from his estranged wife's trailer with a knife from the kitchen, took her to Mississippi where he forced her to perform oral sex on him, then drove back to Louisiana and strangled her. When LeBlanc's body was found 11 days later, she was wearing only a pair of shorts and one tennis shoe. Bordelon led police to her body in a wooded area by the Amite River in Livingston Parish, about 20 miles from Baton Rouge. A state Supreme Court opinion upholding Bordelon’s right to waive all appeals says Bordelon had a “diagnostic profile of sexual sadism” and he told psychiatrists his crimes involved an escalating pattern of violence.

Kocke was later convicted of child abuse by a Mississippi jury for failing to keep Bordelon away from her children. Kocke received a suspended five-year sentence, with five years of probation.

Just before his execution, Bordelon apologized to LeBlanc's mother, uncle and sister, who witnessed the execution, and he asked for their forgiveness. "I'm sorry. I don't know if that brings any closure or peace. It should have never happened, but it did, and I'm sorry," he said, choking up and halting to collect himself. His eyes red-rimmed from crying, Bordelon added, "I'd like to apologize to my family and tell them that I love them."

Darryl M. Durr

Executed April 20, 2010 10:36 a.m. by Lethal Injection in Ohio

Durr kidnapped 16-year-old Angel Vincent from her home while her parents were away. He raped and strangled her with a dog chain and hid her body inside two orange traffic barrels placed end-to-end in a Cleveland park. Durr fathered a child with a teenage girlfriend who lived down the street from the victim and was obsessed with her. He named his newborn daughter Angel, and even made his girlfriend model the jeans he had removed from his victim the night she was abducted. The victim's decomposed body was discovered by neighborhood kids three months later. The case remained unsolved until Durr was arrested on two unrelated rapes in September 1988. His girlfriend, Deborah Mullins, came forward and told authorities that Durr had picked her up the night Vincent disappeared. Vincent was tied up in the back of the vehicle, Mullins said, and Durr said he was going to "waste" her. Durr dropped her off at an apartment, then returned about four hours later and placed Vincent's ring and bracelet on a coffee table. Durr boasted that he had strangled Vincent. Durr was convicted largely on the testimony of Mullins, who said she waited months to tell police about the murder out of fear that Durr would harm her. Prosecutors said Mullins knew facts about the case that she could not have known without Durr telling her, including the location of the body.

Gerald James Holland

Executed May 20, 2010 at 6:14 p.m. by Lethal Injection in Mississippi

Krystal King and a friend went to a rooming house where Holland was staying the day before her 15th birthday. They were looking for another friend who was not at home. Her body was found the next day in a shallow grave near Saucier in northern Harrison County. Holland's roommate, Jerry Douglas, who lived at the same rooming house as Holland, led police to the body and testified against Holland at trial. Douglas had assisted Holland in disposing of the body. An autopsy showed the cause of death was asphyxiation from a ligature placed around her neck and clothing stuffed down her throat. She had been raped, beaten and stabbed. King was a runaway at the time. Holland initially claimed in a recorded statement he had accidentally stabbed King when he tried to take a knife from her during a scuffle.

This one is just fkn stupid on the part of the authorities.. and the mother too for that matter.

So the arsehole was sentenced to 10yrs in '82 for a sexual crime. He was released early, committed further sexual crimes in '90 for which he was sentenced to 20yrs. Then, again, he was released early to murder that young girl a year free in '02.

Like wtf?? The prick only served around half of his 20yr term.. had he served both terms fully he'd still be in prison today and that poor girl wouldn't have even had the misfortune of crossing his path, via her stupid mother, and losing her life. The whole scenario is just fucked.. smh.
