Another view of the "Sweet Dreams" Gravestone sculpture

Just strange

Oscar Wilde is apparently well loved. Still.

This one is cool in a necrophilia goth sort of way.
Nice find. The written message formed from the first letter of each sentence is called an acrostic:

"a poem or other form of writing in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out a word or a message."

I was thinking along the same lines about the lipstick. Our boy Oscar was a unique individual. I love the Picture of Dorian Grey/Gray (Gray looks wrong to me, but I think it's correct).
I was also thinking, there a few really really old Russian cemeteries here. Including one that is just graves of babies. They're quite pretty and melancholy.
Again, when I'm done fighting this chemical semi-coma that these drugs are putting me in, I'll go and take a few pictures.
Here's something weird. I've lived here for something like 30 years and I've never been to the modern cemetery. People really don't get buried much here and usually only the immediate family goes to see the actual burial. Mostly people get cremated or lost at sea.

Re: Grave List

heres one iv seen quite a lot of times myself, its only down the road, but what a way to be kept. sat upright holding his hand of cards lol

"St Andrew's Church, Rodney Street, Liverpool has caused much debate and speculation.

Tom Slemen, in his Haunted Liverpool books, told a tale of how James MacKenzie had lost his soul to the devil in a game of cards and to cheat the devil from his promise, that when MacKenzie was in the ground the devil would claim his immortal soul, MacKenzie was interred sitting on a chair above ground holding a winning hand."
