Re: The World's Largest Aircraft Boneyard, Arizona, USA

Why don't we just return them for credit towards the Nations Debt. Why can't they at least trade in old models for new models like we do when we buy cars. Look at the wasted tax payers money. I mean there has to be billions of dollars just in recyclable materials. That's America for you. Waste, waste and more waste. It's bullshit.

They coyote seems to be patrolling the area. I lived in that area for 15 years. It is not open to the public

Some can, yeah. The desert is a terrific place to store aircraft. Of course they've had their powerplants and electronics removed. Slap em back together and in several months many of these could fly. Most are just sadly out of date, like computers and phones become.

What is wasteful about them? Storing them you mean? Most of these a/c are still in service and this is like a parts store. As far as them being wasteful because they existed in the first place- the d.o.d. is why we're all here in the first place. And there are commercial aircraft here too.

Actually, most that are in storage, and not being used for parts, have all engines and electronics intact. All fuel, hydro, fluids, and batteries removed, ejection seats and squibs deactivated, chaff/flare pods removed, then sealed up and sprayed with a white protective coating as needed. I love that place
